The CBD Revitalisation proposes a thoughtful rethinking of conventional road geometry. The ubiquitous roundabout is reconceived as the 'ellipse about', one of two major moves that would deliver a 30% increase in the amount of useable pedestrian space in the CBD.
The first month of the project was a mandatory period of analysis, workshopping and consultation before any design drawings could be prepared.

The master plan is rich in statistics, demonstrating the solid grounding in evidence, and it is hoped that these will empower the client to continue on to deliver the project on the ground, creating an innovative yet respectful upgrade of Bundaberg's CBD.
