Campbell's Cove Promenade was originally entered in the Civic category, however the Jury felt this high quality designed public realm project provides a significant contribution to linking Sydney’s ‘Cultural Ribbon’ along the harbour and within the UNESCO World Heritage curtilage.
Set amongst the rolling vineyards and forested backdrop of the Mornington Peninsula, the Jackalope Hotel presents a rare and luxurious landscape setting for this award-winning hotel.
The brief for Port Leo Estate’s sprawling landscape surround was to curate the Mornington Peninsula’s finest wine, food and cultural experience.
The Garden for the Future is an ambitious extension of the Bendigo Botanic Gardens showcasing more than 30,000 climate-resilient plants set within a multi-purpose garden setting.
This project demonstrates what can be achieved on a small budget when landscape architects are brought to the design process. Sprout Landscape Architecture have updated a hot and stark outer suburban retail strip, transforming it into a social space and thoroughfare that respects and builds on the street’s local charm and offers an invitation to linger.
This project takes an active and creative approach to addressing issues of ongoing urban vacancy and public space activation in Newcastle’s Honeysuckle District. The project encompasses a series of interventions that poetically engage with the site’s multilayered history while imagining the possibilities for a future Newcastle.
McGregor Coxall along with Sydney Water have demonstrated an ambitious and outstanding strategy for the delivery of public open space across the Georges, Cooks and Parramatta River Catchments to achieve environmental outcomes and social outcomes.
This small courtyard project demonstrates a thoughtful response to an awkward linear space which sought to provide for a number of competing needs as identified by the Client – the SBS staff. Within the small courtyard a collection of 4 conceptual ‘garden rooms’ are set out, each directly responds to the requirements identified to meet diverse downtime needs.
The brief and objective for the project was to provide a verdant landscape in the inner city, where all of the apartments facing the courtyard have individual vignettes of the landscape bringing a new connection and new life to the heritage buildings.
