‘Slacks Tracks’ demonstrates a bold and engaging approach to improving safety and lifting the profile and use of urban waterway corridors. The juxtaposition of fun, colourful, contemporary detailing within a natural setting has created a distinctive character for the corridor that raises the bar for this type of project beyond the realm of standard drawings and details.

The connectivity and environmental sensitivity promised in the original master plan has been carried through from planning to execution and shows the potential for creative use of small budgets when a mix of site responsive design and passion are applied.
