The Rockhampton Riverside demonstrates a celebration of civic pride and culture. The project bridges the gap between the city’s impressive heritage buildings and the river, creating an engaging urban waterfront and demonstrating creative, flood resilient design.

The project redirects the city’s focus towards the river and connects parkland and streetscape seamlessly through a blend of flexible, pedestrian prioritised spaces and contemporary architectural interventions that promote community use. The successful integration of art, technology, play and architecture manifests through distinctive, high quality materiality and detailing. The project makes an important contribution to the city and lives of its residents, lifting the bar for what a regional city centre can offer, and forming a catalyst for further urban renewal and investment in the Rockhampton CBD.
